Children and Youth Ministry:

Youth Ministries...

Sunday School - Sunday - 9:30 a.m.

An interactive Sunday School lesson is planned for Sunday Mornings. Youth are challenged to dig deeper into God's Word - the Holy Bible and apply it to their daily lives. We encourage and equip our youth in their faith to develop them into tomorrow's leaders.

Youth Group - Wednesday - 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Our youth group meets every Wednesday for a time of games, skits, teaching, and fellowship. This is an informal meeting to get together and learn about God in a non-threatening environment. A place to bring new friends and ask lots of questions and have some good clean fun!

Activities

All youth are invited to participate in planned and spontaneous activities throughout the year. Some are local fun events and others are major trips to youth retreats and conventions. Calendars are provided for an up-to-date look. This is a great time to invite friends for fellowship and growth.

Some of the youth and adult members of the congregation during the 30 Hour famine program in our fellowhip building.
Some youth on one of the many trips that they take. They also go on mission trips and attend conferences.

Children's Ministries...

Nursery

A well-staffed and clean nursery is available for all services. The nursery is equipped with baby beds, changing supplies and toys. Christian love is taught through caring for these precious gifts of God, our children.

Pre-school & Elementary Sunday School - Sunday 9:45 a.m.

These groups are divided by age wih lessons consisting of Bible stories and activities to highlight biblical principles.

Sunday Night Awana Club - 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

A Bible based Club for children with a goal to reach Boys and Girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.

Awana Groups:

Cubbies: Children ages 3-4

Sparks: Kindergarten, 1st - 2nd grade

T&T: 3rd - 6th grade

Laura Fuqua directs three of the cubbies up on the stage for awards night in the fellowship hall.
Sisters Jessica and Alexis received awards from youth director, Barbara Hecht and Awana volunteer Blake Guthrie.

Three segments provide start-to-finish adventure in every club meeting! Each has a purpose.

  • Game Time: Every Awana Club meeting includes a high-energy Game Time featuring individual and team competition. Game Time unleashes kids' natural energy and enthusiasm.
  • Handbook Time: Using achievement-oriented curriculum materials. Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses. With a trained leader alongside to encourage and guide, clubbers develop a Bible-based view of how to know and serve God. Clubbers are rewarded for their achievements as they progress through the handbooks.
  • Council Time: The whole club gathers for a Bible message, singing, and announcements of upcoming events. One highlight of Council Time is the presentation of awards for individual handbook progress and team competition.
