Lamar Newton, an extremely gifted pianist, has been sharing his talents most of his life. He began piano lessons at age ten, and by age thirteen he was providing musical accompaniment for church services. At sixteen years of age Lamar accepted the Lord as his Savior. As a young adult, he started playing professionally for The Rex Nelon Singers (formerly The LeFevres of Atlanta). Over the years he has enjoyed playing for several gospel groups. He and his musically talented wife of 27 years, have directed and played for church choirs all around the Atlanta area. We are very blessed to have Lamar’s capable talent at ASBC.
